Join the PCP team as a Senior Fund Controller

PCP is a leading multi-strategy credit investor focused on entrepreneurial and family-owned companies across Europe. Having raised more than EUR 5 billion in institutional capital, PCP invests in businesses who need capital to grow, make acquisitions, or refinance their balance sheet.

We act as a strategic financial partner to our portfolio companies and have long experience of investing in businesses from various industries. Recent examples include Kry in Sweden, DvH Medien (owner of Handelsblattand Die Zeit) in Germany, and Better Energy in Denmark.

We are now looking to add a Senior Fund Controller to our highly international team located here in Stockholm. This is a senior role that will report directly to the the Head of Fund Operations and hold responsibility over the financial data flows and reporting of our flagship investment strategy.

Sample of role duties and responsibilities:

• Work with the Head of Fund Operations on day-to-day matters relating to multiple funds.
• Liaise with service providers to manage fund NAV and fund accounting process, including estimated fund NAVs.
• Liaise regularly with Investment Controlling to structure and analyze financial reports in the data warehouse.
• Prepare quarterly reporting, determine quarterly NAVs and report to the FSA for the internally managed funds.
• Prepare computations and calculations supporting the Funds (such as equalisation, management fees, drawdowns, IRRs, performance measurement, currency hedge exposure and tax).
• Manage fund liquidity and prepare material for decisions on capital calls and distributions.
• Assist with aspects of launching funds/fund structures/fund share classes.
• Assist with on boarding of investors into the funds.
• Assist in the execution of private loan deal closings/settlements


Qualifying experience:

• Advanced knowledge in practical accounting with knowledge of IFRS and GAAP.
• Highly analytical and proficient with Excel modelling.
• Experience structuring workflows and data through tools like PowerBI or similar packages.
• Circa [10] years of work experience in a similar fund controlling role.
• Experience of primary or secondary debt market or private equity as well as regulatory reporting.
• Familiarity with preparing and reviewing of capital call and distribution calculations, management fee calculations, waterfall calculations and preparation of financial statements.
• Excellent command of the English language.
