The missing piece? Non-sponsored credit and the sustainable transition.

Anna Skarborg, Director of Sustainability, reflects on the evolution of sustainable finance and the role of private debt in the financing landscape.

"During my 20 years in sustainable finance, I've continuously reflected on the systemic challenges related to financing the sustainable transition. Until now, I have worked mainly with equity investments, ranging from family-owned structures to venture capital. As I now move to P Capital and the credit side, I do this out of a profound belief that non-sponsored credit is one of the key pieces needed to address the “missing middle” - lack of capital in early scaling phases - and the “missing model” - misalignment of entrepreneurial needs and the traditional financial system. This perspective develops my reasoning."
