Meet our new Investment Directors

Join Managing Director Anna Skarborg in conversation with our newly promoted Investment Directors, August Moberg and Viktor Eklind.


Anna: A huge congratulations to you both on your promotions! Before we talk about this exciting step in your P Capital Partners careers, can you tell us what drew you to P Capital Partners in the first place?

August: I have a bit of a mixed background with experience in credit research, equity research and M&A – a mix which I thought could be a good fit with PCP’s credit niche. When we’re working with entrepreneurs directly and often without sponsors, a broad toolbox is very useful.

Viktor: It’s a similar story for me. I too had a mixed background, working in leveraged finance and M&A before joining. The way PCP works makes it valuable to combine equity and credit experience when building partnerships and funding solutions with entrepreneurs.

Anna: What parts of our culture spoke to you most?

Viktor: It felt like the organisation had managed to keep the feeling of a smaller, entrepreneurial organisation despite managing large funds with a broad geographical mandate. That feeling remains the same today. There’s a real dedication to our profession and appreciation of analysis. New initiatives are encouraged and rewarded.

Anna: Would you say our culture has supported your personal growth?

August: Absolutely. Initiatives and learning are encouraged, but always with a focus on quality.

Anna: You are clearly great fits for our culture. Could you describe the kind of person P Capital Partners appeals to?

August: An analytical person and someone that likes to take initiatives. This isn’t a place with a set manual for everything and there is often the need to come up with creative solutions to rather bespoke situations.

Viktor: Being detail-oriented and outgoing are also important skills. We meet a lot of entrepreneurs with different financing needs, being able to relate to them and their businesses is key.

Anna: Finally, what are you most looking forward to in your new Investment Director roles? What new opportunities do these well-deserved promotions open up?

August: We both look forward to increasing our origination efforts and taking on more responsibility through leading deals from sourcing to portfolio. This was part of our previous roles, but as Directors we have an even clearer role here.

Viktor: The new role supports us in representing the firm, both in terms of culture, and also in the market place and deal sourcing, which will be particularly important now in this expansive phase of the firm’s development.
